Welcome to the Mattamy National Cycling Centre MGCC Information Page
If you have not yet tried track cycling, you now have no more excuses. Located just 50 mins from downtown Toronto at 2015 Pan Am Boulevard in Milton, Ontario, this world class cycling facility is just waiting for your participation. Stay tuned to this page for updates from the track.
The Toronto 2015 Games were a huge success at the Milton Velodrome. Every Canadian athlete who participated in PanAm Track Cycling won a medal: that is "owning the podium"! Our own MGCC member and Canadian Hour Record holder Ed Veal represented with panache by winning a bronze medal in the Team Pursuit!
With the re-opening of the Milton Velodrome this fall, MGCC is again renting the track for the exclusive use of our track-certified members.

SCHEDULE AND FEES
MGCC will continue to subsidize a portion of the Velodrome rental fees, for the benefit of its members. The cost to each member for one (1) hour of MGCC Track Time is $20 ($30 for a 90-minute session), payable via the link to Shopify provided at the bottom of this form.
We've had to adjust our rates, but remember that you are guaranteed a spot (unlike for more expensive and crowded public drop-ins), and you get to ride and train with fellow MGCC’ers. Want to help drive our rates down? Help us get the word out and recruit more people to join us "on the boards”!
CERTIFICATION
You must obtain your Certification Card before you can ride at the Velodrome. Certification sessions A & B are designed to teach you everything you need to know to ride on the track safely. Visit the Mattamy National Cycling Academy Get on the Track page, to find out more about Certification A & B and to register.
READY TO SIGN UP FOR TRACK TIME?
Find all available dates and time, and sign up by filling out the form here. Make sure you are familiar with riding guidelines, found on the Mattamy National Cycling Academy Riding Guidelines page.
NEW THIS FALL: CARPOOLING TO THE VELODROME!
Driving to Milton can be a challenge, and to make things easier, we will soon set up a Facebook Group exclusive to MGCC members who want to make carpooling arrangements. While the club cannot manage carpooling lists or schedules (unless you want to help us do that…?), we want to make it possible for those going to the track to get there in good company. Stay tuned for details, coming very soon!
COMING SOON THIS FALL: EXCLUSIVE MGCC SESSIONS WITH A COACH!
We heard you loud and clear: you asked for more structured workouts during our MGCC track time. MGCC is looking into hiring one of the awesome Mattamy National Cycling Centre coaches for one of our sessions this fall, as a pilot program. If everyone enjoys the experience, we will look at offering that on a more frequent basis. Details coming soon on this one too!
BECOME A RIDE LEADER, AND EARN SOME TRACK TIME!
Interested in volunteering once in a while, to ensure we can continue having MGCC-exclusive track time? Become a Ride Leader* at the track, and earn yourself some free time on the boards. We need your help, as without a Ride Leader present for our track time, we cannot ride… Please contact us for details.
*You must already have your track certification to become a Ride Leader.
KNOW A TRACK CYCLIST WHO IS THINKING OF JOINING THE MGCC…?
Do you have a non-MGCC friend who is track-certified and would like to join us on the track? We offer a Try-a-Ride program, like we do on our road rides. Please contact us for details.
We look forward to seeing you at the track very soon. Any questions or comments, please send an email to [email protected] and include "Velodrome" in the subject. We’ll be happy to help!
