Our MGCC Kids Grass Track mission is to create a fun-filled, safe environment for our youth to build their skills, senses and strength, setting them up for a lifetime of enjoyment on their bikes

GENERAL PROGRAM NOTES:
Spring 2016
Week 1, May 4th - Intro, bike check, helmet check, braking, cornering, applying lessons on track, yellow jersey
Week 2, May 11th - group riding skills exercises, bumping, jumping, obstacles, biking handling skills
Week 3, May 18th - Climbing, descending, gear selection/shifting, cadence
Week 4, May 25th - Grass group riding, bumping, jumping, obstacles
Week 5, June 1st - 4 up sprints & skills circuit (timed)
Week 6, June 8th - Baseline performance, Individual time-trials
Week 7, June 15th - Leslie Spit (map for parking), Group riding, group dynamics, pace line
Week 8, June 22nd - Fun races vs. parents, photo day, Awards, celebration
Fall 2016
Week 1, September 7th - Re-Intro, bike check, helmet check, review of Spring, grass track ride
Week 2, September 14th - Grass group riding, bumping, jumping, obstacles
Week 3, September 21st - Bridle Path Neighbourhood ride (map-parking)
Week 4, September 28th - 4 up sprints & skills circuit (timed)
Week 5, October 5th - Performance check, Individual time-trials
Week 6, October 12th - Fun races vs. parents, photo day, Awards, celebration

GENERAL PROGRAM NOTES:
- This program is limited to the first 50 riders who register
- Kids are required to bring a working bike (road, mountain, cross, hybrid), proper helmet and water
- We meet Wednesdays (dates & activities below) at 6pm in the Thorncliffe Park parking lot: Map or Street View
- All age groups meet in the parking lot for check-in
- Tots (age 8 and below) stay in the parking lot to complete the tot skills courses
- Children 9 and older will ride from the parking lot to the grass track
- We encourage participants to attend each session as there is a progression week-to-week
- If a session is cancelled parents will be notified via their registration email

IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP NOTES:
- If you have NOT yet registered your child in the Morning Glory Cycling Club, which is mandatory for particpation in this program, please read below:
- The MGCC Grass Track program is FREE for all youth riders (riders 18 years and under). Youth are not required to pay the club membership and MGCC will pay the OCA fees on their behalf. A parent or guardian will still need to register their child for the club on our Membership section on the website, as well as fill out the waivers. You will be guided through the registration process which will include the required Promo Code
